“We are going into our ninth season with EcoCatalysts and to date their service has been excellent and products have been of the highest quality and most importantly they’re getting the desired results in our crops. Black Urea has been an integral product in our fertiliser program that over the years has contributed to us saving thousands and thousands of dollars with no yield losses, if anything our yields are increasing.”
"I have been dealing with EcoCatalysts for eight years now and have found them a reliable supplier of a high quality product. What I find separates them from the plethora of companies trying to sell me fertiliser’s is the quality of the product and the technical backup for the product that puts a bit of science into the decision of what to use instead the "warm and fuzzy" approach, or the hearsay of "so and so uses it", that some of the competitors use."
“Black Urea is a better product to handle than other products including White Urea. Lumps in Black Urea break up much easier than White Urea when left in store, and it doesn’t burn the eyes with Ammonia dust”.
“I have been using Advanced Komplete for over 2yrs now and have recommended it to other growers in the area. I have had no issues purchasing the product, John at Soils First always has stock on hand if I run short. Without being an Agronomist I felt you could visibly see the results, by applying it in autumn and through the wet winter months it gave excellent bloom in the fruit, increasing it in spring certainly helped with the increase in growth during this time. The cost to apply although expensive has been worth it due to the increase in yield. We used it over the summer months but felt that there was little or no benefit during these hotter months and it was better to concentrate on using it in the wet winter months. Our yield has been up over the last 2yrs and we have had better finger length and weight in the bunch. We will continue to use Advanced Komplete as the results speak for themselves.”
“We, at Maplemoor Cotton, conducted a foliar fertilizer trial in conjunction with Lisa Fairweather from EcoCatalysts. The trial was conducted on two 10 hectare sections on the Northern end of Field 4 which was planted with Sicot 71 conventional cotton on 28th and 29th September 2004 with 15 seeds per metre and watered up on the 2nd and 3rd October 2004. The fertilizer program was 220kg/ha of Nitrogen (Anhydrous Ammonia) and 130kg/ha Starter Z. The Northern most 10ha section was the one that had the folia fertilizer Advanced Komplete. There were two applications, the first on the 20th January 2005 and the second on the 4th February 2005. It was applied at 5 litres/hectare in total volume of 30 litres of water. The crop received 185.5mm of rain in November and a further 151mm in December as well as 6 crop watering. Apart from the early rain the season was very dry and had very few overcast days. The field received a further 35kg/ha of water run Urea mid January 2005. The field was picked on the 28th and 29th March 2005. The trial section of 10 hectares yielded 12.95 bales/hectare and the unsprayed section produced 12.69 bales/hectare. The classing results were mainly 21-3-35 on both sections and minimal difference in micronaire.”
“Two things we look for, is a cost effective product that gets the job done and good service. Having used EcoCatalysts foliar fertilizer on last season’s cotton crop, with very pleasing results. We look forward to building up a complete fertilizer program, with our local EcoCatalysts Representative Lisa Fairweather. The service and advice was excellent and Lisa followed the product into the field.”
“This development has been a real challenge, working with dredged material from salt water environment to having great lawns and gardens for our investors. EcoCatalysts have put together a program that we follow week by week and over the last 12mths have seen exceptional results in the quality of plants, turf fully rooted in and trees now in full flower. We have benefited from the recommend soil reports and building a Mineral Based fertiliser program to suit our requirements.”
"My name is Mark Fritz. My wife Judy and I farm south of Bundaberg on light sand and sandy loam soils, consisting of between 90-95% sand and 5-10% clay content with a cec average of about 2.5 to 3.5 and pH ranging from 6.2 to 6.8. We grow sugarcane, seedless watermelons and processing potatoes for Smith’s Crisps. We mainly use the Black Urea in the potato crop. Ever since ammonium nitrate became hard to purchase we had been looking for a replacement. Along with calcium nitrate, ammonium sulphate and potassium nitrate, Black Urea is included in our nitrogen program for the potatoes which is anywhere between 180 to 220 units of nitrogen per crop. We have been using Black Urea now for about 5 years and see it as a very important part of the program. It is softer than straight urea, due to the carbon coating, which acts to buffer the release of N and helps reduce microbial harm. By using Black Urea it is not leaching as much as urea whether through heavy rainfall or over irrigation, and does not volatalise as much when left exposed short term. We have not hesitated in continuing to purchase Black Urea year after year. I think it is a marvelous product and if it were not available I wouldn’t use urea again unless I could add the carbon coating to it somehow."
“The Advanced CaP used on the Linseed this year (05’) showed a marked visual response by flowering earlier and longer and looked a lot better than without (Advanced CaP) in the same field”.
Brad Penny's reaction 12 days after planting cane using Bang P: "I have never seen cane shoot so fast and look at the ball of roots. I am on a winner here" We had never tried it before so I guess I was sceptical to start off with. I liked the idea that liquids wouldn’t burn the plants and the fact it worked out cheaper was an added bonus. The whole process was easy because we applied it at the same time we were spraying for grubs so we were able to do two jobs in one application so it cuts down on work you have to do on a farm. The results spoke for themselves – our figures showed a return of $23 for every dollar spent on Bang P – adding to that we got an extra 12.3 tonnes per hectare from the sugar cane crop. We picked up tonnage, the units of sugar were higher so we got more money – it doesn’t get any better than that.”
“I've never seen a cane shoot so fast and look at the ball of roots. I'm on a winner here.”
“After losing a lot of my plant cane crop in the last two years due to water logging I was attracted by Bang P because of its claims of protecting my crop by getting the crop up quicker. I was more than skeptical buying a liquid in a drum that would save my plants from drowning but I gave it a go in one paddock on all but 6 rows. The cane that was treated with Bang P as a billet dip germinated a full week earlier and never stopped growing while the untreated rows died back after the first flood. I now use Bang P on all my plant cane, I use it at 15L/ha in with my fungicide and it is so easy to add to my program as there are no additional equipment needs and it fits my current planting program. My neighbors are keen to use Bang P now that they have seen the results.”
